Andréa Stanislav is an American artist, born in Chicago, and based in New York City. Andréa has an interdisciplinary practice that includes: sculpture, video installation and public projects. Ms. Stanislav received a MFA from Alfred University, New York; and a BFA from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Her work explores themes of harmony and deconstruction in the natural world, popular culture and the sublime -- realized through unexpected visual manifestations, multi media installations and monumental sculpture. She is currently an Associate Professor of Sculpture in the Department of Art, and a PhD candidate at the European Graduate School in Saas Fee, Switzerland.
